SMU Entrepreneurs Successfully Pitch to RAN!
Christopher and Latham (fanfare founders) presented their business proposal to the members of the Ryerson Angel Network.
The group, who is decidedly excited about mentoring and funding student ventures, asked the founding team tough questions about their strategic positioning and ability to execute.
After remaining cool under pressure, fanfare was able to secure an oral agreement between several of the Angel investors to receive web development services and up to $50,000 in cash to commercialize the beta fanfare platform.
While this oral agreement is just the first step in a process investors refer to as Due Diligence, fanfare will be meeting with the interested Angels over the next several weeks to determine if all of the details of the business fit with what Christopher and Latham presented.
These meetings will also help both sides determine exactly how much money is needed, and how the Angels will best be able to help the team achieve their entrepreneurial dreams, outside of reaching into their pockets.
Congratulations fanfare!
