The StartMeUp Ryerson Program was created by SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) Ryerson to support and nurture the enterprising ideas of Ryerson University students and alumni; whether it be an idea for a business, non-profit business or community organization.
The StartMeUp Ryerson program is designed to provide students and alumni with the education, resources and funding they require to turn their enterprising idea into reality. Our participants achieve success through the four stage StartMeUp Ryerson process; program orientation, idea consultation, customized development and funding.
Participants receive the motivation and encouragement to turn their idea into reality, then pitch their idea, receive recommendations and create an Idea Development Plan. This plan includes recruiting and developing a team, connecting with resources & education through the StartMeUp Training Track, and a mentor. In the final stage participants are motivated to seek funding opportunities including the $25,000 Slaight Communications Business Plan Competition.
